Hello everyone,

Yet another busy week-end!

As predicted, it was a very different story for the Wednesday evening Interclub – Cheltenham Town beat MidGlos.

However, on Saturday morning, in the first of the Saturday Interclub matches, Barnwood beat Cheltenham Town and MidGlos beat Cheltenham Spa.

In the afternoon, MidGlos was playing GL1 in a friendly when MidGlos were victorious again.

Well done to all who took part irrespective of the final outcome.

On Sunday morning both of our Wessex teams were playing each other. Initially, it was very close. Eventually the A team began to pull away but it was still very close on a couple of the rinks. However, the A team won comfortably in the end. I have to say that the B team is becoming a force to be reckoned with. Very well done to all.

The sheets are now up for the club competitions. Please check the “play by” date and make sure that you comply. If your name appears first, you are the challenger and it means that you have to give your opponent three dates from which to choose to play the match.

There is also a notice up inviting ladies to please enter the following competitions otherwise they cannot go ahead which would be a shame. Even if you think you’re not good enough, put your name down and have a go. It’s all good practice and the luck may well go your way! 🤞

The next quiz is this Saturday when Steve Bluck will be your quiz master.

The following day, there is a friendly away at Welford at 2.00p.m. Again, we are quite a few folks short. Please put your name down and your preferred position.

It’s that time of year again – the Christmas raffle. There is a book open at reception for you to choose your number and there is a table set up in the corner behind the chiller cabinets for your donations. Please only donate decent prizes. Many thanks.

The draw usually takes place near the end of this half season – i.e. just before we break for Christmas.

The weather has finally started getting colder. Make sure you keep warm.

Take care.

Linda
