Newsletter Issue 63

Me again. Hello,

Great news – the membership numbers are looking very healthy! Everyone appears to be really happy to be back and operating normally unless you’d rather take the cautious approach which is fine. All we want is for members to feel comfortable.

Lists are now up for the men’s Wessex A and B teams, the ladies’ Mason’s A and B teams, the ladies’ Yetton Trophy – 2 rinks at home and 2 away, the Top Club teams and the 20/21 club competitions for which you signed up pre-lockdown.

If you still wish to play in them, tick where Sandy has put a cross. Should you wish to enter anything else, the entry forms are below the list in a brown envelope.

Opposite the ladies’ loos, there are lists up for the forthcoming friendlies. Get your name down if you’re available and would like to play. Please check the notice boards and sign up if you’re interested.

The list is also up for the first quiz night on 16th October, 7.30 prompt. The bar will be open from 7.00. The list is filling up fast – a real “thumbs up” for the usual success of these evenings. They are great fun and, especially after the lockdown months we’ve had, a much-needed release! Come along and enjoy!

More good news for some – the 200 Club results for September.
1st prize of £50.00 – Alison Simmons
2nd prize of £20.00 – Christina Barham
3rd prize of £10.00 – Robin Attwood
Snowball – £50.00 – Hugh Hart.

Congratulations to each of you. If you are a playing member, that gets you a few more games!

I hope you’re all managing to get fuel. Wish us luck for getting to and from Potters next week!!

Regards and take care,

Linda.
