Anything Happening, let us know and we can share with everyone here.
A wonderful job done by Charlie Rogers. Excellent photography showing the replacement of Midglos carpet. Then uploaded to be made into a book to record the event.
Barrie Hesling was instrumental in setting up the funding of the carpet through Tewkesbury Council using some S106 monies from Bellway the builders.
Paul Havard has worked very hard to bring this to its conclusion and everyone is happy with the result.
The honour of opening the new carpet went to Barrie Hesling, John Bolton and Fred Croxton who faithfully hoover the rinks every month.
The last picture in the booklet shows Fred receiving a bottle of whiskey for getting nearest to the jack. (the other two went in the ditch).
As Fred does not drink whiskey, he kindly donated it to the Xmas Raffle.
MUM stands for
We need more members, so any opportunity to bring a friend or relative to the club, please do do. Try and target at least one per month.
Being a member hopefully means that everyone uses the club as much as practically possible. Join the 200 Club, try a Quiz night or play Whist, join a league team or even raise a new team, there are more members now looking to play in leagues. Why not sign up for a friendly match, you will enjoy it. Bring a friend or relative and sign them in for the day.
Apart from playing leagues etc, try the Umbrellas or the Roll Ups through the week.
Yes, we all need the practice!
After a game, come into the social area and chill out before you go on your busy ways. Have a drink at the bar when open, or relax with a cup of tea or coffee.
Everything you do in the club, helps generate income, securing the clubs future for everyone.
SO REMBER PLEASE, SUPPORT MUM!
