About MidGlos

The Club was formed in 1989 in the domes at Bentham but moved to its current site in February 2000 where we have a purpose built bowls arena
of 7 rinks plus Bar & Restaurant facilities.

Funding came from a Lottery Grant from Sport England, loans from members and a loan from the bank.

We are set in a picturesque location and offer ample free car parking spaces.

The Club is managed by a voluntary Board of Directors elected by the members together with a small team of employees.

We have around 800 members from 11 year olds upwards. Our Under 25's team became National Champions in 2005.

The programme consists of Men's, Ladies and Mixed Leagues plus a variety of matches and friendly roll-ups for the less competitive.

New bowlers see our "Coaching Page" for get you started FREE sessions or existing bowlers considering joining MidGlos come along and have 1 FREE game to try us out.

The Club is open all twelve months of the year, but the Bowls programme is reduced during the Summer months as many people play for outdoor clubs. With plenty of rink space available during the summer months this is an ideal time to give indoor bowling a try with a view to continuing and getting more involved in the Winter Season which starts in September.
